Anova WI-FI App Reviews

This was a great app. Please fix the WiFi bug ASAP.

Bluetooth works well, but WiFi is crap. Dont spend the extra money for this version. Connected last night, but today I did everything everyone else said to do below, and still nothing.

Terrible app, bested by even worse support After a terrible experience and advice to return the device, tried the other app. Worked like a champ.

Anova needs to update the software since Apple just updated. We cant use the wifi. Grrr.

Horrible interface, lacks features, wifi now broken, repeatedly forces retry without possibility of bypass - as mentioned in other reviews: dont you dare try to blame this on your customers networks - it was working now it doesnt. This is a shameful piece of software...

Seriously, fix this. Ive never had an app go from meh, to worse, to unusable. My Anova is now manual operation only. At least that still works. Please dont send any firmware updates. Im afraid youll brick it. I suggest a little QA cycle in the future. Just so you know. I only gave it one star because I have to.

Tested both over wifi and data. It will start and stop the cooker. You can type in the temperature. Took off a star because you cant change the timer mid cook. If anything, this app has taught me to read reviews and back-up apps just in case the latest update breaks all functionality.

app worked perfectly prior to the update... now wont connect to wifi and wont let me do anything (even see timings) bc it constantly wants to connect via wifi to the cooker... even though its paired via Bluetooth. they should have left well enough alone.

But thank you for updating this garbage app. Its working better now but come on...no adjustment of time during the cook? Why the hell not?

The new update fixed the "read only" issue for the app. The only thing Ive had happen now is when I have a cook going it the app will sporadically fail to reconnect to the unit when I relaunch the app. Other than that its great.

Pretty useless. OK., I can set the food in the bath and then start the heating and latter set the timer and start cooking if Im away from home. What Id really like is for the app to access my clock and allow me to do this all at once; that is, tell the machine when to turn on AND for how long I need it too cook, so I dont have to think about it during the day but so my food will be ready when I get home, or whenever I need it. On the current version, when you set the temperature, the number pad hides the "Im done" button.

After the update the app no longer works! Cmon either go back to the working app or fix it!.. Joule comes out tomorrow and theirs works on wifi!!! Cmon Anova, just fix it!!

This new update is horrible. The app will connect to the unit but cant set anything. They also cut down the max time to 24hrs.

Terrible app, inconsistent connectivity, a disappointing feature for an otherwise good product. Better off not even suggesting this until the app is more dependable.

App is locked and trying to pair with Avoni but Im not using it but just wanting to review cooking plan.

Revised version does not improve connection. I am still unable to originally make a Wifi 5G connection, only regular speed. You can not set up your own food settings. Whats the point of the app? You have to store your settings somewhere else and look them up every time and set manually.

I like it. Yes you still have to be there to put some items in. Im not leaving chicken out all day. But it shaves 30-45 minutes off overall cook time as I can get it preheating a few minutes before I leave work. It makes work night meals more feasible for me.

Everytime I use this anova I set the temp on the machine and start to cook. I think add my food when the temp is ready... I then have to use the app to set the time but then I must stop the cook to do that. Why?! Other than that it at least works now so thanks for fixing that horrible last binary version.
