Since there is no iPad version, I tried to use this. I cannot set the temp or the timer on the iPad. The numeric pad covers the button. Also, how do I schedule the machine to turn on at a later time?

Update rendered the app useless. Dont upgrade.
I just got this from Amazon and it wont connect to my wifi router! Returning it tomorrow.
I want to be able to set a delay time before it starts.
Seriously, first day after buying it I have wasted hours on this thing. How do you let a product that wont connect at all go out?
This app is totally useless. Brand new Anova Precision Cooker. Bluetooth connects immediately on my iPhone 6, but WiFi setup hangs. Cant cancel or continue. Cant even get the cooking times and recipes. Epic fail!
You cant access any info on the app unless the unit is on and connected. Maybe you want to research a recipe, but you cant even access the most basic part of the app because all you can look at is a popup page that says something like cant connect blah blah blah.
Im not changing the wifi in my entire house to use this app. My phone works on 5ghz, my kindle works, my roku, my nest, my sonos all work.... Get it together.
What sort of cooking guide doesnt let you look at the instructions before you plug in the device? anova! Impossible to dismiss the connect to anova device page
I have NOT been able to connect my new Anova Precision Cooker via wi-fi, which makes me regret buying the accursed thing. It shouldnt be so complicated to get connectivity for a rather minimal-tech contraption. It *is*, however, a total waste of money if you bought yours based on the promises made by Anova that this would revolutionize your cooking experience. So far, Ive wasted hours trying to make the app work. >:[
I purchased the Anova sous vide over the Chef Steps Joule because the Anova has manual controls and the Joule does not. Anova advertises their sous vide as being Wi-Fi enabled, but their Wi-Fi app seems to be a second thought. Being Wi-Fi enabled is useless if the app is crap. You cannot browse the recipes without the app being connected to the sous vide and the cancel button for the app to stop searching for the sous vide does not work. You cannot adjust the timer in the recipes and the recipes are very limited. Some of the recipes seem like they pulled them off of other peoples YouTube channels or websites and the app recipes are not very professionally done. Im glad I can use the sous vide without the app, because this app is crap. I wish chef steps app would connect with the anova sous vide machine because their app is very good.
You wouldnt think it is possible to go from ok to a complete failure but Anova have managed to do it amazing well. Great job guys!
Im new to the Anova and so far the app works great. If anything it works a little too well. What do I mean? I wish I could look at recipes without having to connect to my Anova. I was away from home and had some extra time on my hands and wanted to get some ideas for my next meal. Instead I was hassled (notified) every 10 - 15 seconds that the app couldnt connect. Heres another example of why this is a pain. I cooked ribs all day yesterday when I had the time. Theyve been sitting in the fridge and now I would like to finish them in the stove but guess what? I have to take the Anova back out and plug it back so I can review the finishing steps. Not the most convenient thing to do. Why cant there be an option in the app to "proceed with out a connection?"
The latest version restricts the WiFi password length to 18 characters. I did not encounter this limitation in prior versions. I am not about to compromise my WiFi networks security just so I can monitor my Anova remotely. Please fix it.
For some reason the app will now not accept any wifi passwords with non-alphanumeric characters in it. Im not compromising security for this thing. Love the cooker. Fix the app.
Paid extra for wifi in the cooker. Wont connect.
Asked for and received the Anova for Christmas. I knew it was supposed to be remotely controllable, but that wasnt why I wanted this model. My choice was based more on reviews of its cooking, not its connectivity. That said, my first time out it would have been great to have Bluetooth connect without a need for wifi. Or it would have been nice if the Anova had connected with the wifi. Since it wouldnt -- and still wont -- do either, I must give the app one star. Ill rate the actual appliance elsewhere.
Anova-Wifi app was unable to pair with Anova. Had to use original Anova app to pair, once paired I could then connect via Bluetooth via Anova-WIFI. Unfortunately could never get wifi configuration to work. Tried 2.4Gz, 5Gz, WPA,WPA2, Airport Time Capsule and Airport Extreme with no luck. Would not recommend the wifi device. Bluetooth only device is probably the way to go.
I have set up the wifi and every time I attempt to put the temperature in, it disconnects and says it can’t find the Anova. I then have to reconnect it to wifi and wait, only to have it happen again. It is a waste of time.
A much awaited update to hopefully fix the connectivity issues...and no luck. Just an endless string of "Whoops, something went wrong" messages. The anova is great, but the wi-fi option and this app are useless. Very disappointed.
