Anova WI-FI App Reviews

The wifi Connection doesnt work. Anova works good and is a great thing but i cant use the App. Two of my Friends have the same problem!!

Tried 10 times to establish WiFi connection. Impossible. Help link provided is dead link. Worst possible experience. Learned from support (very helpful and patient, most likely Zen Buddhists): you may have to change the name of your network. You may have to change the password of your network. You may have to switch to another channel. You may have to change other settings, too. So there is hope, but you have to be very patient. Namaste.

The app for the anova is a great addition to the device itself.

Since the last update the app somehow turns up the temp when it is keeping the dish warm. I just came to the kitchen 10 min late. The fish was totally over cooked by then.

WiFi doesnt reconnect after replugging cooker... You have to redo setup. Even when connected sometimes doesnt sync actions. I changed to Celsius but keeps reverting back Fahrenheit...

The recent update has made this app unusable. When it loads it will search for the Anova, be unable to find it, show a "retry" message...and thats it. You cannot click on retry, nothing happens. The same thing happened to both my iPad and iPhone at the same time, the retry button stopped.

Just gave it to my wife for birthday present and, not only did the cooker come without the instructions, the app wont find the cooker and then stalls. Very disappointing start!!!!!!!!

The beta was great for a long time. This version will not connect to my precision cooker no matter what I do on two different iPhones. I have had to revert to the Bluetooth version of the app, which means I can no longer start the cooker when Im leaving work. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Was able to connect via wifi but cannot control start and stop. This is useless.

Can set temperature and time and sees the current temperature and settings, but unable to start or stop the cook

Great product, app worked well until last update. Now, my Anova no longer responds to wifi commands. Timer and temp cannot be set wirelessly as keyboard covers the commands and cannot be minimized. Wish things were as before the last update.

Nothing works properly with this app. Bring back old one until you sort this out.

Im able to connect the device to wifi but can never start or end cooking over this useless app

They claimed the latest update fixed the wifi connectivity issue but they failed their customers AGAIN! The wifi app is useless! You can see the temperature of the cooker, and THATS IT! Want to remotely start cooking? NO WAY! Why bother paying extra for the wifi cooker? It just wont allow you to cook remotely!

I can connect to the cooker but cant start the cooking. I was able to connect and cook with the previous versions.

Last update screwed everything up..,

Sounds like server upgrade or app upgrade has highlighted problems with this product. I can not control device from app after something outside of my control was changed. Therefore, you cant rely on this app for cooking. Bluetooth access doesnt even work as a fallback.

Not sure how these end up in the App Store without real world testing. This just makes the wifi feature useless, which I rely on. Its ridiculous that they do this. So frustrating.

The new version of the app looks great but there is one problem - the timer only goes up to 23hrs and 59mins. This is great for most stuff but for things like cooking short rib where the time needs to be around 48-72 hrs this is way too inconvenient. Please fix.

Cant adjust temp or timer with app. So whats the point of the app? Bought the the wifi version specifically to be able to set things when away from the house? Please fix it...awesome cooker....
